The goal of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is to provide quality support and help and a better life for hundreds of thousands of Australians living with a significant permanent disability, as well as provide assistance to their families and caregivers. Allied Health Experts are pleased to assist individuals in accessing the NDIS, while additionally supporting active participants.
People who meet the NDIS access requirements are called participants. Participants receive funded support and an individual plan. Allied Health Experts can help you access the National Disability Insurance Scheme by providing evidence demonstrating how your disability affects your everyday life.
Before making your access request, we will help determine your basic eligibility. Some of the determinations used by the NDIS include, but are not limited to:
At the time of your access request, you will need to provide your age and residency evidence information. After an assessment, we will be able to provide specific evidence about your disability, how it occurred (workplace, illness, genetic, etc.) and how the disability impacts your everyday life.
Participants are funded through their individual NDIS plans to access services and support that is considered “reasonable and necessary” to achieve desired outcomes. These services and support measures fall into different categories, each aligned with their specific purpose.
