NDIS: We assess patients and provide recommendations and opinions in accordance with the NDIS program.
MEDICO-LEGAL: We assess a client’s condition as it relates to a claim or causes of action, and provide an independent, evidence-based assessment.
PEOPLE HANDLING TRAINING: Whether it is manually or with the use of aides and equipment such as hoists or lifts, people movement and handling is a delicate process for both patient and caregiver. We provide this vital training to both family and professional caregivers.
OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY ASSESSMENTS: We assess and work with patients in both the home and the workplace, to determine abilities and mobility. We then make recommendations to ensure that current and future quality of life is preserved and enhanced.

Occupational Therapy Assessments

Occupational therapists work with patients to help find ways to function more comfortably and to build and maintain independence. They also support patient family members with the knowledge and the support tools that they will need to assist their loved ones.

Such assistance can include in-home activities, such as cooking, dressing, bathing/self-care and household chores. It can also include getting out of the house, driving and/or participating fully in school or at work. The goal of occupational therapy is to promote and provide independence, and to make necessary modifications to allow for that independence.

At Allied Health Experts, we work with individuals, families, health care workers and insurers. We make determinations and provide recommendations as to the patient’s potential for independence growth—given the correct levels of support. We then render an opinion and provide written suggestions as to both short-term and long-term goals and provide advice as to how those goals might best be achieved.
